A lovely natural mitt to gently exfoliate while you wash.

Ethically handmade with hemp, a naturally anti-bacterial, strong and beautiful fibre, ideal for use in the bathroom.

One size - mitt measures 22cm long x 12cm wide. It has not been pre-shrunk and is designed to shrink to fit your hand with its first use. Fibres will soften after use but will not continue to shrink.

About Hemp:

Relied upon for thousands of years, hemp fibre is one of the strongest and most durable of all natural textiles. Not only strong, it holds its shape, stretching less than other natural fibres, Hemp doesn't wear out, it wears in, softening with age.

Due to its porous nature, hemp is more water absorbent, and will dye and retain its colour better than fabrics such as cotton. This nature allows it to "breathe," so it's cool to wear in warm weather. In cooler weather, however, air warmed by the body is trapped in the fibre, making it warmer to wear. Hemp is also naturally resistant to mould and ultraviolet light.

An extremely fast growing crop, hemp produces more fibre yield per acre than any other source. Added to this environmental benefit, hemp leaves the soil in excellent condition for any succeeding crop. Roots anchor and protect the soil from runoff, building and preserving topsoil and subsoil structures similar to those of forests. Plants shed their leaves all through the growing season, adding rich organic matter to the topsoil and helping it retain moisture. Farmers have reported excellent hemp growth on land that had been cultivated steadily for nearly 100 years.
