Despite having no formal qualifications, Katrina Barnden is following her passion to design and craft handmade jewellery, when she’s not working as a city-based accountant. From her studio in Clunes, country Victoria, she explores simple shapes and clean lines to create a range of principally brass necklaces and earrings. She uses hand-beaten and oxidising techniques to produce contrasting textures and a focus on versatility for the wearer. Necklaces can be layered together. Many of the hand-beaten pieces are reversible and the oxidised double-piece earrings can be worn in various ways – with the elements together, on their own, or reversed. You can be creative!
